Voyage of the Cormorant

Postby clawhammer72 » Sat Sep 21, 2013 11:07 pm

I just finished reading Voyage of the Cormorant, by Christian Beamish. It's an first person account of his journeys along the coast of Baja California in his self built Ness Yawl. Wonderful read.

I'm new, by the way. Usually I just lurk and read and wish I was building or sailing my own boat instead of just reading about it. Anyway, I searched and couldn't find the above mentioned anywhere.
Cheers from California!

I agree Clawhammer, this is a very well written book about an inspiring voyage. I've read lots of sail cruising books and this is among the best I've read. Highly recommended, captures the rawness of sailing an open boat and danger of adventure away from rescue helicopter range.
