New CY build in Beaverton, Oregon

Hello felloe Caledoniites! My name is Daren Lindley
I have just been granted access to this forum. I just started my Caledonia Yawl Dec 20th, 2016. I hope to install my 3rd plank on Monday. (Tomorrow. 2-13-2017). I am loving this building process. It's like nothing I have ever done. I got my confidence to start the project by watching Geoff Kerr's videos on Off Center Harbor's videos. I didn't buy a kit but am spiling my own planks.
Part of what attracted me to the CY is that it seems like a perfect family day sailer. I dream nightly about taking my family camping on the Columbia river. I look forward to meeting you all at least virtually and maybe even sail with you one day. My user name is Paragliderman ... another hobby of mine.

I added one of the pictures that you sent to me to your post.

It looks like you are off to a good start. Happy spiling!

Hi Daren, good luck with the build. Looks like you have a good supply of clamps which will serve you well. So what configuration are you building, open or decked, lug yawl or sloop yawl, undecided?
